What Dentists Do When Something Gets Stuck Between Two Teeth

When you get food stuck in between your teeth, it can be not only uncomfortable but can hurt a little too. There are some things you can do to get the food out from between your teeth.

After you try the tips below and the food is still stuck in between your teeth, call us, and we will do what we can to help you. We also have a few tricks up our sleeve that we can use to try to help you.

FLOSS YOUR TEETH

Flossing normally, like you would any other day, is an excellent way to get food out after being stuck between two teeth. However, if flossing regularly doesn’t help, try tying a knot in the floss and pushing the knotted end of the floss in between your teeth to get the food out of it.

USE A TOOTHPICK

If the above trick doesn’t work, try putting a toothpick in between your teeth and pushing it in where it will stay for a little bit. By doing this, you will allow the teeth to move a little, which will then enable you to get the food out that has been stuck in your teeth.

If all else fails, you can see us, and we will do whatever we can to help you get the food out from being stuck in between your teeth. Although one of these tricks should work for you as it does for dentists, you can always see us, and we will help you any way we can.
